Please join us on Sunday, May 5th, 2024 for the Annual Ranney Gorge Run! Presented by Bay of Quinte Mutual Insurance Company. These beautiful and scenic 10.55K and 5K Runs will take place in Trent Hills, ON. The run/walk routes will take you through the roads of Ferris Provincial Park and over the breathtaking and picturesque Ranney Gorge Suspension Bridge. The day will also feature a 1K Fun Run for Kids. Funds raised will support patient care and the purchase of new high priority medical equipment for Campbellford Memorial Hospital. BIG NEWS FOR THIS YEAR:
- We are pleased to let you know that all registered Ranney Gorge Run participants will have FREE access to the Hastings Field House walking track from March 1st to May 5th, 2024 during regular operating hours to start practicing for the Run. Participants must provide the proof of registration upon entry. This was emailed to you after your completed the on-line registration.
EVEN BIGGER NEWS FOR THIS YEAR:
- To encourage all of the Ranney Gorge Run participants to raise funds for the Hospital we are pleased to announce that Steve and Doreen Sharpe will generously match all pledges raised made up to $10,000! Thank you Steve and Doreen for your passionate support of the Hospital.
RETURNING THIS YEAR:
- If you raise $150 in Pledges for the Hospital you will get your registration fee back less a $5 Administration Fee!! Refunds will be issued to your credit card a couple of days after the Run.
START TIMES:
- The 10.55K WALK ONLY starts at 9 a.m., the 1K Fun Run Starts at 9:30 a.m. and the 5K Walk, 5K Run & 10.55K Run start at 10:00 a.m.
IMPORTANT
- On-line Registration closes at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 3rd. If you would still like to register you will have to do it in-person during the Early Pick Up (see below) or during Registration on Event Day.
- Early Pick-up of Race Kits and Bibs with timing chips will take place on Saturday, May 4th from 10:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Rotary Hall, 179 Saskatoon Avenue, Campbellford, ON
- This year's event will be "bottle-free". Please bring a refillable water bottle. There will be at least 3 water refill stations on the course. Recyclable paper cups will be available for those without their own water bottle.

- 10.55K & 5K Registration Fee ............ $40 Early Bird (Until March 24th) /$50 Regular/$60 after 03/05/2024 at 6 p.m. and on Day of Event
- 1K Fun Run Registration Fee ………………. $10
- 5K & 10.55K Participants will receive one of our Ranney Gorge Run custom medals, race kit and t-shirt! PLEASE NOTE: You will be asked for your shirt size when you register, but after April 14th we cannot ensure you will get your requested shirt size. We are going to really try our best.
- 1K Participants will receive a beautiful Ranney Gorge Run custom medal.

- PLEASE NOTE: Official 10.55K WALK ONLY Start Time is 9:00 a.m. If you are planning to WALK the 10.55K route please let us know. We encourage you to start at 9 a.m. The course will be open until 12:30 p.m. You must be back by 12:30 p.m. to ensure the Finish line is still set up and all refreshments are still available.
- Official 1K Fun Run Start Time is 9:30 a.m. - The 1K Fun Run will take place in the adjacent Kennedy Park.
- Official 10.55K & 5K Runs & 5K Walk Start Time is 10:00 a.m. The races will start together on Saskatoon Avenue in front of the Rotary Youth Centre and head south into Ferris Provincial Park. The finish line will also be on Saskatoon Avenue in front of the Rotary Youth Centre. Pre-Race Warm up at 9:50 a.m.
- 11:30 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. Post Run Celebration
After the race, all participants are invited to join the post race celebration and awards ceremony in the Rotary Youth Centre. Fruit will be provided to all participants.
FOOD: The Lion's Club of Campbellford will be on site providing free hot dogs for participants or spectators interesting in purchasing food. Apples and bananas will also be available free to participants.
PARKING:
- We encourage participants and spectators to car pool and/or arrive early.
Parking is available at:
-Kennedy Park lot (~ 50 spots)
- near the Tennis Courts on Trent Drive(~ 30 spots)
- on Saskatoon Avenue (north of Kennedy Park) (Street Parking)
- on Second Street (Limited Street Parking)
- at the Vacant lot behind TD Bank in Downtown Campbellford (3 block walk)
AGE GROUPS & AWARDS
Prizes will be presented to the 1st place overall male and female finishers in the 5K, 10.55K and 1K Fun Run events. As well as highest pledges raised. Beautiful custom medals will be provided to all participants!
ADDITIONAL EVENT DETAILS:
- Please no pets.
- Strollers and wagons are welcome, but are asked to start the Run/Walk at the back of the group. Walkers are also asked to start at the back of the group.
- A supervised Bag Check will be available for participants inside of the Rotary Hall.
- Child Care or Child Supervision will not be available.
- We will be doing a 50/50 draw for the Hospital. Please bring cash.

Gun start/chip finish timing services will be provided by TAPtiming. Results are updated throughout the race in real time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:
